CVS Health, Walgreens to administer COVID-19 vaccine to long-term care facilities

National pharmacy chains have announced they will provide COVID-19 vaccines to long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes.

CVS Health plans to administer the first dose of Pfizer’s vaccine to more than 40,000 locations. The goal is to vaccinate four million residents and staff.

Trail passes available for 2021

People can now purchase 2021 annual passes for Wisconsin State Trails.

Passes cost $25 each for a full year or $5 per day.

Anyone 16 or older is required to have a pass to use State Trails for biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding or in-line skating. Passes are not required for walkers or hikers.

A fairly recent scam is separating would-be pet owners from their hard-earned money.

A Wisconsin department is warning the public about online pet postings, which may be fraudulent in some cases. The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says it has received numerous reports of these scams.

Households should check real greens to make sure they don’t have invasive plant diseases, fungus or bugs.

The best way to avoid invasive troublemakers is to buy decorations that were grown in Wisconsin.
