Paul M. Shie, age 74, of Reedsburg, WI, formerly of La Crescent, MN, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the Sauk County Healthcare Center.

He was born April 7, 1951 to Gervase and Ruth (Dobransky) Shie in Tomah, WI. He married Catherine (Cathie) Eichman October 9, 1976 in Trempealeau, WI.

Joyce M. Gerber, age 88, of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center, surrounded by care and comfort.

Ronald K. Bessert, age 96, a longtime resident of the Reedsburg and Mauston, Wisconsin areas, passed away on January 5, 2026, at his daughter's home in Lewisville, Texas.

Sauk City--Thomas J. Breunig, age 69, of Sauk City, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at home with his family at his side. He was born in Prairie du Sac, WI, on October 22, 1956, to Sylvester and Dorothy (Lins) Breunig. 

Cheryl A. Powell age 70, of Sandusky, WI, passed away at home on Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1955, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Clifford and Regina (Pietcl) Halvorson. On October 15, 1977, she was united in marriage to Donald at Holy Redeemer Church in Milwaukee. 

Janet Ann Laukant, aged 81, of Rock Springs, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Sauk County Health Care Center, after a 10 year battle with dementia.
