William “Bill” R. Mead passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison surrounded by family.

He was born March 14, 1942, as the first of four children to Rollin and Marie (Blau) Mead in Reedsburg, WI.

He was a 1960 graduate from Reedsburg Webb High School.

Mary Margaret McMillin, age 82, of Reedsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her home. She was born on September 29, 1942, in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gerald and Elizabeth (Lehmann) Zick. Mary was a graduate of Richland Center High School. She later went on to receive her Teaching Degree.

Joseph David Eastman Jr., 80 of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at Randolph Health Services in Randolph.

Rodney John Powell, age 70 of Reedsburg, formerly of Sandusky, WI passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, March 3, 2025. Rod was born on June 10, 1954 to William and Miriam Powell. As Rod grew up on his family farm, so did his lifelong love for pretty much anything with an engine.

Jerome G. (Jerry) Sefkar, age 86, passed away on Friday March 7th. 2025. He was born on December 10, 1938 in Reedsburg, WI to George and Emma (Hasz) Sefkar. He graduated from Baraboo High School with the class of 1958 and on June 3rd, 1961 he was united in marriage to Judy Schubring at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo, WI.

Leonard P. “Petey” Peterson, age 67, of Wonewoc, formerly of Cazenovia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 7, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital, Hillsboro. He was born on April 27, 1957, in Reedsburg, the son of Everett and Louise (Hanko) Peterson.

Lucille E. Reinecke, age 89, of Reedsburg, formerly of Loganville, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. She was born on September 3, 1935, in the Town of Reedsburg, Sauk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter and Ethel (Eden) Tessmer.

James Patrick Golden, age 86, of Lyndon Station, formerly of Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 1, 1938, in Chicago, IL, the son of Ignatius and Barbara (Bretreager) Golden. James grew up in Arlington Heights, IL long before it became a booming suburb of more than 65,000 people.

Fred R. “Dick” Rudolph, age 81, of Rock Springs, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. He was born on February 6, 1944 in Baraboo, the son of Fred Sr. and Johanna (Schlegel) Rudolph. On September 11, 1993 he was united in marriage to Susan J. Adler in Rock Springs.

North Freedom, WI. - Dennis R. Penning, age 74 of North Freedom, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Dennis was born July 6, 1950 in Waukesha, WI, to Roman and Shirley (Galoff) Penning. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1968 after having been a Mighty Mite in parochial school, which he always acknowledged.
