Pocan quarantined after coronavirus exposure

Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) has been quarantined since Nov. 10 after finding out his mother had tested positive for COVID-19.

Pocan reported that his mother, 91, was asymptomatic. He wore a mask in the vehicle when he transported her.

Marklein appointed co-chair of joint finance committee

Sen. Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) was named co-chair of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance.

He was appointed by Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu (R-Oostburg).

In a statement, Marklein said he was “extremely honored, humbled and excited” for the opportunity.
