Sauk Prairie crowns court at Homecoming

Sauk Prairie High School crowned its Homecoming Court a few weeks ago. Those on the court include: Faith Holler, Angel Galvan, Katelyn Fishnick, Dylan Breunig, Malea Niesen, Mason Barsness, Rose Eilertson,  Brad Breunig, Ellie Lankey,Quinn Baier, Alia Schlimgen, and Damien Wright-Rodriquez.

Weston seeks vendors for craft fair

The Weston School District plans to hold its 40th Annual Craft Fair this year.

It is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 27.

This year’s event will use both school gymnasiums to allow more space for the event. Shoppers will enter through the elementary school doors and make their way to the high school.

Tickets go on sale for school musical

The public may now purchase tickets for Reedsburg Area High School’s next theatrical production.

Students will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.” Shows are scheduled 7 p.m. Nov. 12, 2 and 7 p.m. Nov. 13 and 2 p.m. Nov. 14 at the CAL Center.

All seats are reserved and cost $15.

Reedsburg school holds spaghetti supper

St. Peter’s Lutheran School will hold a drive-through-only spaghetti supper on Oct. 29.

Hours will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $8 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12. Kids under 5 eat free.

Tickets may be purchased at the school office or at the event.

Wisconsin Heights budget to increase by 6 percent, mill rate drops

Wisconsin Heights will see their budget grow from $9.2 million this year to a projected $9.9 million for the 2021-22 school year. This will lead to a 6.64 percent increase in the levy and consequently for taxpayers. Between 2019 and 2020 the levy increased by 14 percent.

St. Aloysius’ students practice archery thanks to national program

St. Aloysius School in Sauk City is participating in the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) this year. The instructor, Nick Ringelstetter is a certified NASP Basic Archery Instructor. St. Aloysius School is providing all equipment through funds raised by the Home & School Association, allowing up 12 archers to shoot at one time.
