On November 16th, 15 “Mathletes” from Sauk Prairie Middle School traveled to Wisconsin Dells to participate in the Math Matters Mathematics Contest.  Students from 15 area schools solved math questions ranging from geometry, measurement, and logical thinking, to probability, problem solving, and estimation, both individually and as teams.  Sauk Pra

St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Reedsburg has unveiled its list of academic honors for the first quarter.

They are as follows.

Fifth grade, A Honor Roll: Elijah Anderson, Gavin Braun, Lucas Breneman, Gunnar Dankert, Adriana Hinze, Judah Rothwell, Hailey Schwartz and Brock Wilson.

Weston’s Pack the Pantry Food Drive will take place from Nov. 29 through Dec. 9

Weston FBLA will work to convince the public to donate non-perishable food. Items can be dropped off at the Weston school entrances. Financial donations can be made online at https://bit.ly/FoodDriveDonate.

The Wisconsin Heights National Honor Society is proud to welcome new members. NHS student membership goes beyond academic achievement. NHS elevates a school’s commitment to the values of the four pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. 

COVID-19 has caused a local school district to transition to only virtual learning through at least the end of the month.

The change began Nov. 18 and is scheduled through Nov. 23, after which students and staff will be on Thanksgiving holiday. The next in-person learning day is expected to be Nov. 29.

Students from Sauk Prairie High School were inducted into membership of the Jacob Barth Chapter of the National Honor Society on Monday, October 18th. Members were selected by the faculty and approved by a faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

The October Above The Line theme at Grand Avenue School was “Fairness.” These students received awards on Friday, October 22nd from their classroom teacher who felt that they are an individual that is fair to others. Congratulations to these students!

The Weston School District will celebrate Halloween with its Boo Bash on Friday, Oct. 29.

It will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the school.

Trunk or treating start at 5 p.m. Kids can go from vehicle to vehicle to collect candy.

The Monster Mash Dance will start at 6 p.m. and will be held on the playground blacktop.
