Black Earth Elementary site sold

The Wisconsin Heights School District is in the real estate market as it attempts to sell the Black Earth and Mazomanie Elementary school sites. On December 13, the board approved the purchase of the Black Earth Elementary site to TKSK Enterprises. At their meeting this week, they entered into negotiations for the sale of the Mazomanie Elementary site. Real estate purchases and negotiations are conducted in closed session, so news comes out slowly. Todd Wiegand, owner of TKSK Enterprises, had the fo0llowing to say of his company’s purchase of the Black Earth site: “I am in the planning stage of a variety of market rate workforce housing options, for seniors, locals, and commuters.  The buildings would be no taller than two stories and would be designed to blend into the neighborhood.  I am hoping to incorporate townhomes, too.  Since Black Earth is a small town, it is important to understand this project will be built out over a few years.  Right now, and for the foreseeable future, it is hard to buy or build anything at a reasonable price, so this will be a challenge.”
