Students in the summer school Make & Create course used their creative and critical thinking skills and completed several STEM challenges at Wisconsin Heights. They were asked to make something out of cardboard, build with Legos, a paper airplane challenge and build a bridge out of index cards and straws that could hold the weight of 100 pennies.

The following students earned academic honors at St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Reedsburg for the fourth quarter.

Fifth grade, A Honor Roll: Grace Abbott, Zander Dehn, Ava Mathews, Mason Molitor, Aurora Murphy, Nicole Schafer and Ian McClure.

The Reedsburg School District is providing free meals this summer to all youth 18 and younger.

Families may collect meals on Mondays and Wednesdays between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Reedsburg Area High School, Webb Middle School, Prairie Ridge Intermediate School, Ironton-La Valle Elementary School and Loganville Elementary School.

Sauk Prairie School District’s summer school programs will look different in the COVID-19 era, as masks are now optional inside buildings. At the recommendation of Superintendent Jeff Wright, the board chose to go maskless. Significantly, the area within the boundaries of the District has had no new cases in the past week.

The Sauk Prairie School District will bid “Happy Retirement” to nineteen retirees this year representing 408 years serving the district and 478 total years serving education.
