MOUNT HOREB - Sara Doris (Farmer) Ballweg passed away on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at Beehive Homes of Mount Horeb, Wis. She was born on Sept. 7, 1942, in Door County, Wis. and spent the first 14 years of her life on Washington Island where her father was the island’s doctor. The family then moved to Sister Bay, Wis.
Gary R. Bolar, 64, of Sauk City, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Maplewood surrounded by family and friends. Gary was one of the longest living transplant recipients of 29 years.
In loving memory of Ellen F. Henning, 83, of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. Ellen passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21 after a long and rigorous battle with cancer.
Howard Sprecher, age 83, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on October 13, 1936, in Witwen, Wisconsin to the late Melvin and Della Sprecher.
BLACK EARTH - Mary Evelyn Anderson, age 98, of Black Earth, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at Heartland Country Village, Black Earth. She was born on August 15, 1921, in Wonewoc, Wis., the daughter of William and Geneva (Montgomery) O’Brien.
Randy Lee Pletzer, age 57 of Spring Green, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 as a result of a heart attack. He was born to parents Dale and Barb (Christian) Pletzer on October 7, 1962, in Madison, Wisconsin.
Daniel “Danny” K. Meixelsperger, age 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and closest friends on Nov. 19, 2019 at University Hospital in Madison after a valiant yearlong battle with melanoma. Danny was born at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Jan. 17, 1964 to Harold and Eileen (Hetzel) Meixelsperger.
Marilyn F. Smith, age 73, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Nov. 23, 2019. She was born Feb. 17, 1946 to the late Albert and Alma (Pletzer) Sprecher. She was a graduate of the 1964 Prairie du Sac High School class. Marilyn was united in marriage to Thomas D. Smith on June 2, 1971.
