Harry Ernest Mann

Harry Ernest Mann was born on January 19, 1926 to Harold A. and Alice O. (Vosburg) Mann in Winter, Wisconsin. He graduated from Winter High School in 1943. When he was 17 he enlisted in the Coast Guard and was stationed at Great Lakes. While serving on Freighter and Steamer ships he was a Coal Passer, Fireman, and Oiler.

Viola Gruber passed on October 17, 2020, at her home, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was born on the home farm in Roxbury on September 1, 1925, a daughter of the late Andrew and Claudia Schwartz.  She married Harold Gruber on November 4, 1943.

He was born April 18, 1931 in Prairie du Sac, WI to Albert and Bertha (Toms) Kohlman. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly, and sister and brother-in-law Muriel (Ivan) Luck.

Margaret M. “Marge” Sullivan, age 84, of Reedsburg, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2020. Margaret, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Lump) Raupp, was born in Wheeling Township in Illinois. She was married to Jack Sullivan for 34 years. Their family grew to six with the addition of Scott, Barry, Koren and Glenn.

Obituary: Kenneth Joel Biel

“Make that bass sound like a fog horn and the trebles sound like rain”, one student reported him saying, in a three-room apartment from which he taught on Pulaski Street.

Kenneth Biel, a longtime resident of Milwaukee’s East Side, died on October 15th, in Madison. He was 74. The cause was complications of cancer.

Sylvia Elaine Richardson, age 85, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Oct., 11, 2020 at Sauk Prairie Healthcare.  She was born in Wheeler, Wi. on Aug. 2, 1935 to the late Vernon and Julia (Loback) Anderson.  She enjoyed her life growing up on the family farm and graduated from Colfax High School in 1953.

  Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.   Nancy Helen Cole (nee Magnussen), loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend passed away peacefully at her home in Prairie du Sac surrounded by her family at the age of 79 on Oct. 14, 2020, due to cancer.

Hortencia “Tenchie” Brickl, age 81 passed away on October 13th, 2020 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk Prairie after a long and graceful struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.  She was born on December 21, 1938 in Alamogordo, NM to Florentino and Carolina (Saenz) Martinez; the youngest of 13.
