The Reedsburg Toastmasters group has two gatherings scheduled for September.

Gatherings will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2 and 16 at the Reedsburg School District Central Office on K Street. Participants can also participate remotely over Zoom.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those involved in a deadly collision on Aug. 21 in La Valle.

Dawn M. Ryczek, 61, of Reedsburg, died at the scene, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office. She was a passenger on a motorcycle operated by Dennis A. Ryczek, 61, also of Reedsburg.

Reedsburg-area consumers have a new destination to get their coffee-and-doughnut fix.

Dunkin’ Donuts opened last week at the Viking Express BP building near the corner of Main Street and Viking Drive. Social media posts showed lines around the shop as consumers showed up for baked sweets and caffeinated drinks.

Time is running out for residents to take a dip in the Reedsburg Municipal Pool.

As in the past, the pool will close in conjunction with the start of school. This year, the last day is Aug. 29.

Open swimming is from 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays, 6 to 8 p.m. weekdays, noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Reedsburg Area Medical Center patients who are struggling to pay their bills have a new option.

RAMC has partnered with iVita Financial to help patients apply for interest-free financing and flexible payment schedules.

Reedsburg Area Medical Center is spreading word about the COVID-19 vaccine in light of the CDC recommending an additional dose for people who are moderately to severe immune-compromised.

Either Pfizer or Moderna is available through RAMC.
