Pickleball is best described as a combination of badminton, ping-pong and tennis. Players use a paddle that is reminiscent of ping-pong paddles, but is bigger and usually made of more advanced materials. The ball used is very similar to a plastic whiffle ball with holes covering the surface.

It doesn’t seem likely any new race records will be set this Saturday, Sept. 11, when the 21^st annual Lazy Beaver Canoe and Kayak Race will be held on the Baraboo River from La Valle to Reedsburg.
