Weston Elementary celebrates Global Handwashing Day

On Oct. 15, Weston Elementary School students took time to understand the importance of cleanliness.

School Nurse Brittany Niemeyer spent Global Handwashing Day visiting with children to talk about why this practice is important both in and outside of the home. She also shared a book, “The Day I Forgot to Wash My Hands.”

School Board approves budget with deficit

The Reedsburg School District’s 2020-2021 budget has a deficit of $863,934.

The $35 million budget was adopted at last Wednesday night’s School Board meeting.

Reedsburg wraps up fall activities, looks to winter

Despite dealing with COVID-19, the Reedsburg School District had a relatively successful fall roster.

Activities Director Bryan Yager gave his report before the School Board last week, indicating that plans are already in motion for winter activities.

RAHS Drama Club presents ‘The Monologue Show’ in unique setting this weekend

It’s going to be done a bit differently this year but the RAHS Drama Club is still going to be able to present its one-act play this fall.

“The Monologue Show” will be presented this weekend, Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon in front of a limited audience at the CAL Center.

Wisconsin Heights referendum passes by a close 3% margin

The Wisconsin Heights School District’s $27 million facilities referendum passed last week by a 2.8 percent margin, a close vote driven primarily by Village of Black Earth and the Town of Berry voters. The referendum was approved by a 58% margin in the Village, and by 58 percent in the Town.

K-2 kids returning to school under a hybrid model for Heights

At their October 26 meeting, the Wisconsin Heights School District Board voted to move to a hybrid model for kindergarten through second grade for the second quarter, starting November 16. Third grade through the high school will remain online only.
