Sauk Prairie School Board candidate pulls out of race

Deb Moses, candidate for the Sauk Prairie School District board, has decided to remove herself from the race. Moses will still be on the ballot, but wants the public to know she is no longer seeking the position. She said, “I realized it is not the right time to pursue this while also growing my small business, [Cliffbrake Farm].”

Weston unveils more than $2 million in referendum questions

Residents in the Weston School District will have to decide whether or not to pass a referendum in this spring election.

On April 6, voters will be asked whether or not they approve of $975,000 in operational expenses for four years and $1.9 million in capital improvements.

Reedsburg School District hires administrator

Roger Rindo will be the next administrator for the Reedsburg School District.

The school board confirmed the hiring of Rindo, who will begin July 1. He replaces Tom Benson, who is retiring after many years with the district.

Weston students become cookie scientists

Weston’s second grade students conducted a cookie experiment for their Write like a Scientist Unit. Students predicted which cookies would sink and which ones would float.

Registration opens for Reedsburg public schools

Parents who have children who will be 4 on or before Sept. 1 may register now for the Reedsburg School District’s 4-year-old kindergarten program.

Registration may be done online anytime or in person on April 8.

FBLA students advance to state competition

On Feb. 6, Weston FBLA members competed at the virtual Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional Leadership Conference in various business-related competitions.
