Weston staff have more opportunities to get physical activity

Weston School District students have been having virtual classes on Wednesday. Starting in January, Elementary Physical Education Teacher Tanner Havens organized staff Wellness Wednesdays. Employees have the opportunity to get some physical activity for 20 minutes around lunchtime. The program is optional and based on personal goals. Activities include circuit workouts, dodgeball, snowshoeing and floor hockey.

According to Havens, "The goal for these Wellness Wednesdays are to allow our staff to unplug a little bit and de-stress not only from these crazy times in our society, but also from our work, and since we do not have too many ways to socialize as a staff right now, it is a great way to build some staff camaraderie. I know for those that have been able to make it, we have really had a great time and look forward to seeing more participate when they can."
