New weight room, multi-purpose fitness area close to completion at RAHS

There hasn’t been a lot of good news in a pandemic-marred 2020 but students at RAHS will be able to experience some positives very shortly.

Construction on a new weight room and multi-purpose fitness facility has been progressing since mid-June and the project is close to completion.

St. Peter’s Lutheran School announces first quarter honor roll

The following students earned academic achievements for the first quarter at St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Reedsburg.

Spencer wins Patriot's Pen Contest

Prouty, Gudenschwager, Henke VFW Post 3434 presented this year’s Patriot’s Pen Contest Award to Weston eighth grader Vivian Spencer. The theme was What is Patriotism to Me? The essay contest encourages youth to examine American history and their own experiences. Spencer will advance to the District 11 contest.

Grand Avenue holds 43rd annual Prediction Run

Grand Avenue Elementary School held their 43rd annual Prediction Run. Each runner predicted how long it would take to complete the course. Those who came closest to their predicted time received a t-shirt.

Reedsburg public schools won’t go full virtual for holiday season

Students are still in hybrid learning following Monday night’s Reedsburg School Board meeting.

Winter activities are go for Reedsburg School District

Sports and other extra-curricular activities will commence following Monday night’s School Board meeting.

There was no objection to proceeding with these activities. Board member John Laukant did propose enacting stricter rules and guidance, but the proposal failed.

Weston FBLA collects food

Weston High School’s Future Business Leaders of America members are holding their annual Pack the Pantry Drive.

Now through Dec. 4, donors can drop off items in the school office. Food will be distributed to area pantries to support the needy during the holiday season.

School Board approves free milk, teacher hirings, Aramark contract, facility rules
