A Reedsburg student, Jack Minor, took second place in a regional virtual spelling bee on Feb. 2. Thirty-six fourth and fifth graders from Reedsburg, Wild Rose, Two Rivers, Pardeeville, Adams-Friendship and Montello competed. Minor is a student at Prairie Ridge Intermediate School.
Conversations about returning students back to Sauk Prairie School District have begun in earnest, as Superintendent Jeff Wright presented the board with a board overview at the February 8 meeting. Wright also included a copious amount of data about COVID-19 infections and schools.
The elements did not stop Sauk Prairie Middle School students from getting outside. Braving cold and near-whiteout conditions, the students got out of the classroom for a bit.
Students of Sauk Prairie High School recently competed in CyberPatriot, a National Youth Cyber Defense Competition that has them act as if they are IT professionals working to fix networking breaches and protect a company from technology threats.
Autumn McGlynn was the top winner in Weston’s Annual Big Buck Contest. Two other drawing winners were Bre Durkee and Alex Hasse. Each year, the Weston Archery Club invites students to submit photos of the bucks they bagged during deer season.
