Back for another year, the Wisconsin Heights Prom Fashion Show will be held on Sunday, April 16th, at 1 p.m. Anyone can attend the show, and those that do, can enter the raffle with lots of great prizes! Not only will you be entertained with the wonderful show and prizes, but there will be food and drinks available, too! 

There will be two races on the ballot for Reedsburg School Board, but only one will be contested.

Incumbent Heather Westphal is running unopposed for Area III.

For the City of Reedsburg, however, there will be two options: Incumbent Gary Woolever and challenger Shaun Harris. Woolever is currently president of the board.

Grand Avenue 4th graders made a living map of Wisconsin recently. The students wore different colors to represent the five land regions of Wisconsin. Black is Western Uplands, white is Eastern Ridges and Lowlands, red is Central Plain, green is Northern Highlands, and blue is Lake Superior Lowlands. Each year they model the regions of the state. 

Grand Avenue 4th graders went to the Mackenzie Center in Poynette and learned about maple syrup making. The lesson included information on maple trees, how and when to tap the trees. Students tasted the sap right from the tree.

The Wisconsin Heights Education Foundation (WHEF) is preparing Senior Scholarships for the Class of 2023.  WHEF’s focus is senior scholarships.  Support is welcomed from anyone, from parents, to community members, to businesses.  The foundation accepts personal gifts of cash, checks or securities; pledges paid monthly quarterly or annually; payroll

Sauk Prairie School District announced their ambitious school-based mental health grant at a press conference last Tuesday, held in the empty (due to spring break) but spacious atrium at the entrance of the high school. Congressman Mark Pocan made an appearance, spoke briefly, and answered questions.

4K students at the Sauk Prairie Nursery Center were taking care of their “pets” during dramatic playtime recently. There’s always a line of students brining their turtles, snakes, rabbits, dogs, and fish, into get taken care of. Play areas include reception, veterinarian care, grooming (pictured here), and an x-ray lab.

7th grade Wisconsin Heights math kicked off their upcoming geometry units by celebrating Pi Day on March 14th (3/14). The students were given a breakout box in which they had to research Pi and it’s significance in order to crack the codes to get into the box.

Wisconsin Heights District Administrator Jordan Sinz will be leaving the district this summer to take a new job in Chippewa Falls. Sinz will be the next agency administrator for CESA 10. He told the district board in his resignation letter, “[t]he decision to accept the position was made with family in mind.
