Wisconsin Heights 4th graders match shoes to novel’s characters

4th graders at Wisconsin Heights celebrated the end of the Holes novel study and designed shows to represent a character from the book. Students used symbols and colors to show their knowledge of the characters’ personalities. Stanley, Zero, Kate Barlow, and The Warden all have some new footwear.

Wisconsin Heights bringing back Prom Fashion Show on April 16th

Back for another year, the Wisconsin Heights Prom Fashion Show will be held on Sunday, April 16th, at 1 p.m. Anyone can attend the show, and those that do, can enter the raffle with lots of great prizes! Not only will you be entertained with the wonderful show and prizes, but there will be food and drinks available, too!

Wisconsin Heights hosting Cabaret Night

“Cabaret Night” will take place on Saturday, April 1st, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Heights Middle/High School cafeteria. Join us for this fun family event with music, desserts, and a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the music department and senior music scholarships.

Sauk Prairie students compete in Math 24

Fourth and fifth  graders from Grand Avenue School and Merrimac Community School competed at the Regional  Math 24 Tournament, which was held on March 7 in Wisconsin Dells. All of the participants represented Sauk Prairie well, and Jack Bromley came away with a third place finish out of all of the fifth grade competitors.

School district will seek input later this month

The School District of Reedsburg is working on its long-term facilities plan and will solicit views from the public in two sessions later this March.

RAHS musicians present 2 shows

Reedsburg Area High School instrumental students have two concerts on the docket for next week.

The Spring Band Clinic Concert will start at 7 p.m. March 14.

Later, at 7 p.m. on March 16, RAHS students will take the stage for the Jazz Concert.

Both performances will be held in the CAL Center, and admission will be free.

Heights to add wrestling as a co-curricular

At the Wisconsin Heights School Board meeting on February 27th, the board voted to bring wrestling back as a co-curricular offering. The district is seeking a co-op partner so their middle and high school wrestlers can compete.

Wisconsin Heights Drama Club dips into Mean Girls

“Mean Girls - High School Version,” a contemporary piece based on the musical of the same name—written by Tina Fey—is coming to Wisconsin Heights. The Drama Club is putting on the adaptation Friday, March 10th at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 11th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday March 12th at 2 p.m.

SPSD pays off more loans early, saves money

At their February 27 meeting, the Sauk Prairie School Board heard River Art’s Annual Report, presented by Nick Dingman. The center continues to operate as a joint school district/community center, with a total usage that breaks down to 72 percent by the school district, and 28 percent by the community.

Polygon fun at Wisconsin Heights

4th graders in Mrs. Stadler’s class have been working hard in their geometry unit at Wisconsin Heights. They worked as teams to identify and label over 20 polygons.
