Sauk Prairie School District names new board president, hears from exchange students

The Sauk Prairie School Board elected new officers at their meeting on April 24. James Isaacson is the new school board president. At the meeting, the Sauk Prairie foreign exchange students each spoke about their stay. Each spoke well of the district and the community, and expressed their gratitude to be able to participate in the program. District Superintendent Jeff Wright added that the school district’s foreign exchange student program was very good. The district made another hire related to its mental health based grant, this one for a Grand Avenue Dean of Students. Finally, the board agreed to sign on to a class action lawsuit for potential damages against large social media companies, like Tik Tok, Meta, etc. It’s a suit brought on behalf of school districts across the country. The damages are for the harm the companies have presumably caused to kids.
