Wisconsin Heights boys basketball coach Zack Colby knew the challenge was immense.
The Vanguards needed to slow down Fennimore’s 6-foot-9 center Adam Larson in their WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal last Friday.
When Heights couldn’t stop Larson, he stopped their season.
Wisconsin Heights girls basketball standouts Hana King (top) and Kylee Doherty were both named all-Capitol South Conference.
King received second-team all-conference honors, while Doherty was named honorable mention all-conference.

In Patzka’s collegiate debut recently, he won the one-mile run with a time of 4 minutes, 14.27 seconds. That time ranks in the top-10 in the country among all Division 3 athletes.
The River Valley High School boys varsity basketball team finished out its season last week in two regional games. The first was a game against Westby which ended in 57-52 victory for the Blackhawks. Tyler Nachreiner and Preston Hying each got 14 points for the Hawks.

After winning a Regional title for the seventh time in program history, the Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball team has their sights set on a second trip to the WIAA State Tournament. They’ll do it if they can win two home games this week as the Beavers and three other schools embark on the Sectional round in the WIAA Tournament series.
