The Reedsburg Beavers enjoyed one of the best seasons in school history in gymnastics this year and the squad celebrated its 2020-2021 season with team awards being handed out.
The wait was excruciating.
Which is why the return was so much sweeter.
Wisconsin Heights’ cross country teams began their new season Monday. And after a 16-month gap between competitions, the Vanguards were thrilled to get their new year started.
The River Valley High School girls basketball team had one girl named to the 2020-2021 SWC All-Conference team. Charlotte Ferstl was named to the honorable mention list. The Blackhawks ended the season with an SWC record of 0-8.
The River Valley High School boys varsity basketball team had three players named to the SWC All-Conference teams for the 2020-2021 season. Preston Hying was named to the first team all-conference. Zach Gloudeman was named to the second team all-conference. Tyler Nachreiner was named to the honorable mention list.
Weston enjoyed its best girls basketball season in years and the team celebrated the 2020-2021 campaign with the awards banquet recently at the Summit Ridge between LaValle and Mauston.

It may be the second week of March but for some athletes at Weston High School and also at Wonewoc-Center High School, its football season, this year anyway.
The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association has announced its All-State girls basketball teams for each of the five divisions used in the WIAA Tournament series and Reedsburg’s Mahra Wieman was one of the 10 players chosen for this year’s D-2 squad.
