Grant makes President’s List at Western Technical College

Joshua Grant of Reedsburg made the President’s List at Western Technical College for the fall 2020 term.

To earn a spot on the list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher and carry six or more credits in an associate degree or technical diploma program.

Library in-service, research challenge and learning opportunities

Reedsburg Public Library will be closed on Monday, February 15 for a staff in-service. On in-service days, library employees learn about new procedures, technologies, upcoming library events and service changes. Part of the Feb. 15 in-service will feature a review of online library research sources, and the Beanstack platform.

Beam Healthcare gives to lounge improvements at RAMC

Beam Healthcare contributed to Reedsburg Area Medical Center’s inpatient building project. The donation helped furnish the staff lounge area, which allows for more space. The company also provided for the visitor lounge, which includes hospitality amenities and a children’s area.

Area students named to UW-Stout Dean’s List

Regional students made the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Stout for the fall 2020 semester.

To make the list, students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5.

Melissa Neumaier, a junior from Reedsburg, is majoring in game design and development.

Arby's opens in Reedsburg

Arby’s opened last week after months of anticipation. It’s at the corner of Highway 23 and Veterans Drive, site of the former Burger King. Several Internet posts indicated it was difficult to get into the restaurant in the first few days as people filed through the doors and lined up at the drive thru to try the new restaurant.
