La Valle Celebration is this weekend
La Valle will hold its community Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 7, and Sunday, Aug. 8.
This 56th annual event will feature a run/walk, parade, games and food sales.
Saturday’s highlights include the run/walk at 8:30 and the bags tourney at 11 a.m. Registration for the run/walk will open at 8 a.m.; bags tourney signup is at 10 a.m. The concession stand will open at 10:30 a.m.
On Sunday, parade registration will take place at the 400 Trail back parking lot. The craft fair will begin at 10 a.m., and concession stands will open at 10:30 a.m.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. It will be followed by the chicken barbecue, raffles, children’s games and a dunk tank. The horseshoe tournament will begin at 12:30, and the kid’s money hunt will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Carry-ins will not be allowed at the La Valle Park.
