Reedsburg Public Library staff looks forward to a busy summer inside the library and out, after over a year of changing service scenarios, and online programming due to the pandemic. The Library is now fully open with no mask requirement, and youth library programs have returned in person, under the tent!

Area students make UW-Stout Dean’s List

Several scholars earned a place on the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Stout for the spring 2021 semester.

Students are honored if they achieve a GPA of at least 3.5.

Reedsburg woman makes honors list

Bria Clendenning of Reedsburg earned a place on the dean’s list at Jacksonville State University for the 2021 semester.

Dean’s list students must be full time and achieve a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99.

OWI suspect arrested with children in vehicle

A Reedsburg woman was taken into custody May 25 after she was found passed out with children in the vehicle.

Community Band strikes up again

The Reedsburg Community Band will take the stage for the summer season.

All ages of musicians are invited to be part of the group. Anyone who still plays or who hasn’t played in awhile may check out the group.

The band plays one or two performances every year. Currently on the schedule is the Concert in the Park on Aug. 11.

Class open house is Thursday

Reedsburg Area High School’s house flipping class will hold an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3.

The event will take place at the project house on Eagle Street. It is next door to the new State Farm office.

Reedsburg man graduates from Clarkson University

Christopher Utter of Reedsburg earned his bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University following the winter 2020 semester.

Utter majored in mechanical engineering.

Clarkson is a private, national research university in New York.

La Valle business wins Dairy Processor Grant

Carr Valley Cheese in La Valle is one of 15 Wisconsin businesses to take home a 2021 Dairy Processor Grant.

Carr Valley will put the money toward the creation of an equipment room and a tank access hallway. The grant amount was undisclosed.

Reedsburg Public Library summer youth programs announced

Reedsburg Public Library is pleased to announce a relative return to normalcy for youth summer library programs after a year of virtual experiences! An outdoor shelter on the south side of the library will allow for a full slate of library experiences from guest presenters to library storytimes and activities.
