Bergmans celebrate 65 years of marriage

LaVerne and Donna Bergman of Reedsburg celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with their immediate family on June 12, 2021. They were married June 16, 1956. Present were their children, Yvonne Bergman (Reedsburg), Virginia Bergman (Reedsburg), Brenda Bergman-Niehaus (Arizona) and Lyle Bergman (Minnesota).

Parade, demo derby are Butterfest highlights this weekend

Butterfest is in full swing, offering many of its highlights now into the weekend.

Parade

The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 19, in downtown Reedsburg. The theme is Salute to Essential Workers. The route will begin on Main Street and North Pine Street and proceed to Webb Middle School.

To reach this level, students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 and complete at least 12 credits.

Eighth Street closed for construction

Motorists will need to find an alternate route on Eighth Street this summer.

The road is closed for construction between Viking and Wellington drives.

Eventually, the road will be shut down from Viking Drive to North Dewey Avenue.

Butterfest begins June 16

One of Reedsburg’s largest celebrations kicks off next week.

Butterfest returns this year after being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. The event will run June 16-20.

Many activities are free; attractions with prices are as noted.
