Sauk County welcomes grant applications
Applications are being accepted for Sauk County’s Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Grant and Goo Idea Grant.

These grant programs strive to encourage art and historic preservation education, as well as community development.
The Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Grants are designed to expand those areas in Sauk County. The money can provide supplemental funding for a variety of projects, including festivals, community events, lectures, tours, digital projects, community conversations, film projects and exhibitions. Nonprofits and government entities may qualify for up to $5,000. These grants require matching funds.
Good Idea Grants support artists, crafters, musicians, writers, historians and historical preservation organizations, to name a few. Grants of up to $500 may be given to help bolster Sauk County’s creative economy.
Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Grant applications are due by 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21. They can be mailed to the Extension Sauk County Office, Attn: Arts & Culture Grant Committee, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI, 53913.
Good Idea Grant applications are due to the Extension office by the 21st of each month. They will be reviewed while funding lasts.
Each year, the Sauk County Arts and Culture Committee awards more than $50,000 to nonprofits, governments and local organizations. The program is supported through Sauk County and the Wisconsin Arts Board.
