Sauk County agencies pay tribute to law enforcement, fire, EMS

It’s National Police Week, and entities across Sauk County and the state marked the occasion with a ceremony in Baraboo Monday morning.

Representatives from law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services gathered outside the Sauk County Courthouse to honor those who’ve died as a result of fulfilling their duties.

Reedsburg scholar recognized for leadership

A Reedsburg native is among students honored for their leadership capabilities at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Chris Johnson was acknowledged as Outstanding Student Leader of the Year. Johnson serves as vice president of the Stout Student Association and as president of the People’s Organization of Network Gaming.

Special exhibit comes to Reedsburg’s Harvest Park

An exhibit featured in last year’s Farm/Art DTour will make a stop in Reedsburg this summer.

Fluvial North will be set up May 22 through Oct. 30 in Harvest Park. It was created by artists Sheila Novak, Emilie Bouvier and Crysten Nesseth.

Sauk County hosts vaccination clinic May 6

Sauk County Public Health will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 6 in Baraboo.

The Wisconsin National Guard will be on site to help run this drive-thru clinic, which will take place at the former Sauk County landfill, E8795 Evergreen Lane. This clinic is for county residents 18 and older.
