Sauk Prairie 7th graders attend Leadership Day

“Eye-Opening, Inspirational, Uplifting, Strength-Building, and Challenging Positive Experience,” are just some of the words that have been used by Sauk Prairie Middle School seventh graders who have attended Leadership Day at Expeditions Unlimited.  On September 22, another group of future leaders experienced this challenging but fun day.

School District looks to purchase two buses

Officials report solid start to school year, look to future

Students, staff and parents appeared to be in high spirits when the school year started this month, according to Reedsburg Superintendent Roger Rindo.

Rindo gave an update during this month’s School Board meeting on Monday night. It wasn’t platitudes; people were genuinely eager for classes to start this fall, he said.

Wisconsin Heights combined campus grand opening is Friday, September 30th

Wisconsin Heights School District invites the community to celebrate the completion of its one-campus project on Friday, September 30, 2022. The event will commence at 4 p.m. with self-guided tours of the facility, followed by a short ceremony in the elementary gymnasium at 5 p.m.

Donations provide supplies for all Weston school children

Weston School has once again provided all classroom supplies for all students in the district, families were only required to provide backpacks and gym shoes for each student. Through donations made by the community, the district has been able to provide all supplies needed for the past few years.

SPSD saving taxpayers money by prepaying debt

Cash defeasances were the topic of technical discussion at the Sauk Prairie School Board meeting last week. Baird & Co. gave a presentation on the ways the district has been managed its debt and saving taxpayers money.
