Another death and two additional hospitalizations occurred over the weekend in Sauk County due to COVID-19.

According to Sauk County data, the latest tally brings deaths to eight since COVID-19 arrived this past spring. Coronavirus has also contributed to 66 hospitalizations overall.

I recently had the chance to partake in a tradition enjoyed by so many this time of year.

Orchard hopping is a big thing across Wisconsin. The Driftless area in particular brings in more than a few visitors just for the scenery alone.

The Township of Dellona has a drop box for ballots.

The box is available 24/7 at the front door of the town hall.

Absentee ballots and other official materials may be left in the box. Absentee ballots must be received at the polls before the end of the Nov. 3 election.

It was a relatively quick Sauk County Board meeting this month, with the board approving several requests, including those to create new positions within departments.
