An out-of-print chronicle of Lake Redstone will soon be available once again for readers.

Author Don Grossnickle announced plans to do a commemorative memorial edition of “Building Lake Redstone: An Illustrated History.” Grossnickle wrote the book with Steve Blakeslee and Ike Isaacson, the lake’s developer who passed away in 2018.

A member of Reedsburg Scout BSA Troop No. 247 Reedsburg has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country-Baraboo/Sauk County is planning a free Welcome to Medicare Zoom presentation.

According to the latest data, Sauk County had 69 active COVID-19 cases as of early Tuesday morning.

That’s six cases lower than the week prior.

Numbers date back to when coronavirus first arrived in the county this past spring.

So far, 512 people have recovered, which is 11 more than the week before.

The following meetings are scheduled and will be held at the West Square Building in Baraboo unless otherwise noted.

Prospective attendees should be aware that meetings may be postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19 or lack of business.

Two area scholars made the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Superior for the summer.

To qualify, students must complete at least 12 credits and earn a GPA of at least 3.5.

Honorees include Craig Braunschweig of Reedsburg and Christina Hagen of Cazenovia.

This large, brass-colored bell was used for many years as a signal that tolled for the ferryman to indicate someone wanted to cross the Wisconsin River at Merrimac or Okee. The bell, and one like it, were located on either side of the river.

The Sauk County Board replaced a supervisor, refilled some committee seats and found out the status of the Census at this month’s regular meeting.

Board supervisors convened last Tuesday night at the county seat in Baraboo. Supervisor Brandon Lohr was absent and thus did not vote.
