Grants available through Sauk County Extension
Applications are being accepted for grants through the Sauk County Extension Office.
Groups may apply for the Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Grant and Good Idea Grant. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. Jan. 22, 2021.
The Sauk County Arts & Culture Grant programs encourage art and historic preservation education and community development. It provides dollars for projects and organizations that value innovation, creative expression and community.
Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation support such efforts as festivals, community events, lectures, tours, digital projects, community conversations, film projects and exhibitions. Nonprofits may receive up to $5,000.
Good Idea Grants go toward the creativity of artists, crafters, musicians, writers, historians and historic preservation or humanities groups. Dollars go toward features that will contribute to the county’s economy. Awards of up to $500 are given out until the yearly funding runs out.
Every year, the program awards more than $50,000 to nonprofits, governmental units and organizations. Funding comes through the county and Wisconsin Arts Board.
