When the boys basketball team takes the floor again in November at Weston High School, it will have a new head coach.
Weston School District teacher Andy Niemeyer has announced that he will not return as the boys basketball coach for next season and the district has officially posted the opening.
Associated Press has released its All-State high school girls basketball teams for the 2020-2021 season. Junior Mahra Wieman of Reedsburg, one of the top scorers in the state, and teammate Trenna Cherney, also a junior both earned All-State recognition from AP as the Beavers enjoyed the best season in program history.
They had waited nearly 17 months for this moment.
When it finally arrived, Wisconsin Heights’ football team was filled with passion, fury and hunger.
And mighty Oakfield paid the price.
In its alternate-fall season opener on March 26, the Vanguards stunned the Oaks, 28-22.
