Andy Niemeyer steps down as boys basketball coach at Weston High School

When the boys basketball team takes the floor again in November at Weston High School, it will have a new head coach.

Weston School District teacher Andy Niemeyer has announced that he will not return as the boys basketball coach for next season and the district has officially posted the opening.

Mahra Wieman, Trenna Cherney earn All-State accolades from AP in girls basketball

Associated Press has released its All-State high school girls basketball teams for the 2020-2021 season. Junior Mahra Wieman of Reedsburg, one of the top scorers in the state, and teammate Trenna Cherney, also a junior both earned All-State recognition from AP as the Beavers enjoyed the best season in program history.

Patzka honored by WIAC

Former Wisconsin Heights standout Christian Patzka, a freshman at UW-Whitewater, was recently named the men’s Newcomer of the Year inside the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Patzka was also named second-team all-conference and All-Midwest Region by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
