WIAA picks homes for tournament championships

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association is planning culminating championships and tournaments for an alternate fall season created by the Board of Control last August as a COVID-19 accommodation for member schools opting to not conduct interscholastic athletics last fall.

Youth wrestlers send seven to state tourney

The River Valley youth wrestling team sent seven boys to the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation State Youth Tournament recently. Spring Green Municipal Golf Course is now open

The Spring Green Golf Course is open for business. With winter on the wane, many local residents are excited about the opportunity to once again enjoy outdoor recreation with family and friends. The arrival of COVID-19 a year ago made safe activities like golf incredibly valuable outlets for lots of people.

The RWD Pee-Wee U-12 youth hockey team competed at the WAHA Class 3A State Tournament over the weekend at Sauk-Prairie’s rink. RWD lost, 5-1, to Tomah/Sparta in round one but came back to defeat Amery, 8-2, and Waupun, 7-0, in the consolation round to win the consolation title for fifth place.

Registration opens for Little League

Registration for the Little League Baseball season in Reedsburg is underway and ongoing through March 31.

Registration is open for children age 7 and older, up through high school, and prospective players must reach the age of 7 by Aug. 31 of this year to be eligible.
