It’s shaping up to be a typical January in Wisconsin with more bitter cold on the way this weekend.

Experts are warning folks to pay extra attention to their homes, friends and family, and pets as low temperatures crank up the stress.

Reedsburg students made Dean’s List for the fall semester at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Erika Ringstad and Hayden Thomas were among those who completed at least 12 credits and earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The library will kick off the new year with a Friends of the Reedsburg Public Library Book Sale starting on Thursday, Jan. 6, and running through Sunday, Jan. 9, in the library’s Community Room during regular open hours.

A La Valle man was arrested Dec. 19 after authorities were called for a report of a motorist slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle.
