Reedsburg woman makes Dean’s List in New Hampshire

Abigail Gallagher of Reedsburg earned a place on the Dean’s List at Southern New Hampshire University for the fall 2021 semester.

To qualify, students must be full time and have a GPA of at least 3.5.

Rock Springs man makes Dean’s List

John Karow of Rock Springs achieved academic honors at Wisconsin Luther College.

He made the Dean’s List for the fall 2021 semester. He graduated from Luther Preparatory School.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must carry a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

Luther College prepares students for roles in Christian leadership.

Rock Springs man earns honors at Iowa college

Lucas Riberich of Rock Springs made the Dean’s List at Upper Iowa University for the fall 2021 semester.

Riberich is studying conservation management.

To be honored, students must be full time and achieve a GPA of at least 3.5.

Danielle Peyer of Reedsburg was added to the Dean’s List at Wartburg College for the fall semester.

To be recognized, students must have a GPA of at least 3.5. Overall, 509 students made the Dean’s List for the fall term.

Reedsburg man graduates from Marine Corps boot camp

A Reedsburg resident completed the United States Marine Corps boot camp at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego on Jan. 14.

Pvt. Skyler Correia, 19, underwent 13 weeks of intensive basic training as one of 80 recruits in Training Platoon 1002.

During training, Correia achieved the status of Expert Rifleman.

City holds open house for comprehensive plan

The public is invited to an open house about Reedsburg’s proposed comprehensive plan.

The gathering will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 20 at Reedsburg Area High School. City staff will be on site to share information, answer questions and listen to opinions.

Charles Wing, who attended a three-room school on Baraboo’s First Street in the 1850s, spoke of his experience as a young student there at a 1908 Old Settlers meeting.
