Sauk Prairie musical will be ‘Big Fish’

65 Sauk Prairie High School students are participating in our annual musical, Big Fish, June 15-18. This fantastical tale was first a book penned by Daniel Wallace in 1998, Big Fish was then adapted to the screen by Tim Burton in 2003 and later a full-stage musical in 2013 with words by John August and Music by Andrew Lippa.

Ag in the Classroom announces essay contest winners

This spring, fourth and fifth graders from Weston, St. Peter's, Sacred Heart and Prairie Ridge participated in the annual Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) Essay Contest. More than 250 students wrote essays on the topic, You're Gonna Need Milk for That - Wisconsin Dairy Fuels our Bodies, Communities, and Economy.

Math team receives winning news

In March, numerous Webb Middle School sixth through eighth grade students participated in the Wisconsin Mathematics Council State Math Contest. Recently, the school received the news that the 7th/8th-grade math team earned first place in the team competition, along with several individual top-place finishers.

Sauk Prairie students go to Young Authors Conference

On May 30, the Central Wisconsin TAG Coordinators Consortium hosted the Young Authors Conference on the campus of UW Platteville-Baraboo Sauk County.  Over 200 third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade writers, from 15 school districts, including Sauk Prairie students from Grand Avenue, Tower Rock, and Merrimac Community Schools attended the conference

‘We did it!’ Class of 2023 graduates from Reedsburg Area High School

Around 220 seniors took home diplomas last Friday night at Reedsburg Area High School.

Graduation was held in the varsity gym, where families and friends packed the stands to see the Class of 2023 embark on its next life journey. The ceremony included performances by the RAHS Symphonic Band and Chamber Singers.

Weston seeks support for Sheep Project

A meeting about continuing the Weston Sheep Project is set for June 1.

The gathering will begin at 6 p.m. at the High School. Anyone who is interested in helping with the project or finding out more about its future is invited to attend.

Jeff Hicken Horticultural Learning Center opens at Sauk Prairie School District, will help Ag Program

Sauk Prairie School District and community members came together on May 6 to open the Jeff Hicken Horticultural Learning Center at the high school. The new greenhouse’s grand opening also happened to be the last day of the Sauk Prairie plant sale as well. Fundraising chair BJ Chrisler had the following to say:

Hats off to grads!

Reedsburg Area High School graduation will start at 7:30 p.m. May 26 in the varsity gym.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for spectators with tickets. Those who don’t have tickets can watch from the CAL Center.

The ceremony will be streamed on the School District’s Facebook page and teamreedsburg.com.
