Almeida, Retzlaff win seats on Reedsburg School District Board of Education

There will be new faces of leadership in Reedsburg following Tuesday’s Spring Election.

In a race for School Board, newcomer Leo Almeida defeated Sonny Hyde, who is also a first-time candidate for the board. Almeida received 1,424 votes, according to unofficial Sauk County election results. Hyde earned 1,332 votes.

Penny war raises money for family affected by house fire

Weston’s National Honor Society held a school-wide Penny War from Feb. 18 through March 9 to benefit the Olsen family, a former Weston family that experienced a house fire and lost all its belongings.
