Sacred Heart holds another mobile pantry

Sacred Heart Church will hold a mobile food pantry next week.

Distribution will begin at 4 p.m. March 24 at the VFW Hall on Veterans Drive. Food will be given out while supplies last.

This is a drive-through only event so you’ll stay in your vehicle during pickup.

Reedsburg City Administrator addresses proposed fieldhouse criticism

A proposed sports complex has drawn anger from supporters of the demo derby at Butterfest.

Last week, the Butterfest Committee posted on Facebook that the City plans to use that portion of Nishan Park for the proposed fieldhouse. The post indicated that this will be the final year for the demo derby.

Next blood drive is March 21

The next Reedsburg Community Blood Drive will be March 21.

It will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center, which is located in the basement of Reedsburg City Hall.

Blood supplies are at a 10-year low, thus anyone who can is encouraged to donate.

Resource Center seeks ‘bright ideas’

A Sauk County entity is looking for suggestions from the public on how it can improve living in the area.

The Sauk County Aging and Disability Resource Center now has a link to the Bright Ideas form on its portion of the Sauk County website. Staff will consider recommendations and implement what they can as time and money allow.

Regional scholars graduate from UW-Madison

A handful of area residents received their diplomas following the fall 2021 semester at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

--Grave Colvin of Reedsburg earned a bachelor’s degree in international and general business, with a focus on marketing. She graduated with distinction.
