Sauk County residents should be on the lookout for a scam that’s making its way through the area.

Fire and EMS personnel from the Reedsburg and Hillpoint areas were dispatched to an OWI crash with injuries on April 4.

At about 9:35 a.m., the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one-vehicle crash on Highway 154 at Short Road in the town of Washington. It was reported that two occupants were trapped in the vehicle.

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is back at the Sauk County Health Care Center.

It will begin at 10 a.m. April 9 on the grounds, which are located at 1051 Clark St., Reedsburg. The hunt is open to children up to 9 years old.

The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, and there will also be a bake sale.

Incumbent Dave Estes defeated challenger Nathan Johnson for another term as Reedsburg mayor.

Unofficial election results show Estes received 899 votes. Johnson garnered 421 votes.

Mayoral terms last two years, and the salary is $7,500.

Beat the Blues will help raise money for the Farmer Angel Network with its latest run/walk.

Children will be able to meet the Easter Bunny at a local grocery store this weekend.

Parents can snap pictures of their little ones with the bunny between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 9 at Viking Village Foods.

A Reedsburg man was taken into custody April 1 after a traffic stop in the town of Delton.

According to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, the department received numerous calls about reckless driving on Highway 33 at about 6:20 p.m. According to the callers, a motorist was traveling in the wrong lane near Mirror Lake Road.
