Public Health holds vaccine clinic on Nov. 18

Sauk County Public Health will hold its next COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Nov. 18.

It will take place in the West Square Building basement,505 Broadway, Baraboo.

The 9 a.m. to noon session is for adults only. All three vaccine brands and boosters will be available.

Antlered bucks locking antlers is a frequent occurrence during deer mating seasons when fights break out.

Unless the deer are mechanically separated, both will likely die.

County Board approves per diem rates, chair salary

Per diem is staying the same for Sauk County Board supervisors.

Last week, the board unanimously approved keeping per diem at $90 for a full board meeting and $75 per committee meeting.

The board also approved the chair’s salary of $650.

Sauk County Gardener: November gardening tasks

It was hard for me to believe it was November when I was outside the first weekend of the month. My husband and I were able to work outside in short sleeves as we dug our dahlia bulbs. Now all the tender bulbs have been dug and are going to spend a few weeks “curing” before I store them for the winter.

Weston plans Veterans Day Program

The Weston School District’s Veterans Day Program will begin at 9 a.m. Nov. 11.

Veterans are invited to a breakfast, which will start at 8 a.m. in the Weston cafeteria. Guests should enter through the doors by the high school office.

All attendees will be required to wear masks.
