Beaver boys lose at Tomah, defeat Portage on basketball floor

The Reedsburg Beavers played its first two games of the boys basketball season and the two games played out dramatically different.

The opening contest saw the Beavers lose big at Tomah but Reedsburg rebounded four days later to pull out a thrilling victory at Portage to even up at 1-1 for the young season.

Weston opens season victorious in girls basketball

Weston got the season underway with a lot of positives in high school girls basketball action last week. The Silver Eagles got off to a quick start and prevailed from there in a 43-29 season-opening win at Mauston.

Weston trap shooters hit high marks

After a sluggish start to the season, the Weston Trap Shoot Team came back strong in the final weeks to come out on top in Conference 5 of the Wisconsin High School Trap League.
