It’s been, shall we say, an interesting start to the boys basketball season for the Weston Silver Eagles and Coach Andy Niemeyer.

Last season was not the norm for the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston high school boys hockey co-op.

In June of this past summer, a grandfather and his eldest grandson started playing pickleball at Oak Park where two tennis courts had been converted to official areas for playing the sport.

It will be a different kind of season to be sure but the Reedsburg Beaver wrestlers are anxious to begin the regular season schedule this Friday with a dual at Fort Atkinson.

The first two games of the high school girls basketball season are scheduled for this week for the Reedsburg Beavers.

Reedsburg is slated to open at Tomah on Thursday night in a game that was originally scheduled for this past weekend.

Fans of the Reedsburg Beaver boys basketball team will notice some different names taking the floor this season.

Five communities are represented, including Reedsburg, on this year’s roster for the Badger Lightning girls high school hockey co-op, which begins its season Thursday night in Baraboo against Viroqua in a Badger Conference game.
