RAHS senior Quinn Schuppner, pictured here, has signed on at Upper Iowa University to compete for the Shotgun Sports Team. Schuppner has fared well in conference, regional and state competitions over the past few years as a member of the RAHS Clay Target Shooting Team. Fayette, Iowa, is the home of Upper Iowa University. 

Weston found some difficulty in its first two games of the Ridge and Valley Conference girls basketball season before the Silver Eagles dropped a decision outside the conference last week vs. Wonewoc-Center.

Weston stayed close early in its high school boys basketball season opener on Dec. 4 but visiting Seneca pulled away en route to a 65-28 win in Ridge and Valley Conference play at Weston High School.

It’s never easy for the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/ Mauston boys high school hockey co-op when they face Beaver Dam and that trend held true on Friday as the two squads faced off at RACA in Reedsburg.

Reedsburg upped its record to 3-0 for the high school girls basketball season after knocking off visiting Sauk-Prairie, 62-43 last Thursday at RAHS.

When the high school football season for 2022 arrives in the state of Wisconsin, Reedsburg and Baraboo may have a much different schedule than normal.

One of the last high school sports teams in the area to kick off regular season action this winter is the Ithaca/Weston co-op wrestling squad.

I/W had its first dual meet of this season last Thursday at Ithaca High School against the North Crawford/Seneca co-op.

Reedsburg met a pair of Badger North rivals last week in high school boys basketball action even though there are no official conference games this season due to some conference schools not playing early in the season, if at all.

It’s been a long wait for the Beaver gymnasts to get underway with the competition season but Friday is the end of that wait as the Beavers will host Baraboo and Viroqua in a triangular at RAHS at 6:30 p.m.

Reedsburg was to host Baraboo on Monday this week in a dual meet but the event was pushed to Friday instead.
