Ithaca/Weston co-op posts another dual meet wrestling victory

After seven individual wins and 3 forfeit wins, Ithaca/Weston picked up another dual meet on the wrestling mat last week, 60-23 over New Lisbon in a dual that was recently added to the schedule. A Dec. 30 dual with Richland Center was cancelled.

Make it three straight dual meet wins for the Reedsburg Beaver wrestlers after Reedsburg won big 48-29 in a trip to Beaver Dam this past week.

Beaver boys hoops squad struggles in loss at Onalaska

The Beaver boys basketball team has been fairly productive offensively at times this season but Reedsburg couldn’t get anything going on the offensive end in their only game action of the holiday break last week, scoring just 26 points in a 67-26 loss at Onalaska.

Badger Lightning girls lose in Baraboo last week

After having three consecutive games postponed, the Badger Lightning girls high school hockey co-op returned to action on Dec. 30 and lost a 6-1 decision to the Lakeshore Lightning from Southeast Wisconsin in a game played at the Pierce Park Pavilion in Baraboo.

Wrestling - Coaches lead wrestlers for second season

The River Valley High School wrestling team will be led for the second year by co-head coaches Dan Machovec and T. J. Wunnicke, with Hunter Dischler as assistant coach. Last year River Valley sent five wrestlers to conference, three of whom went on to regionals.

Gymnastics team looks to a new and different season

The River Valley/Barneveld High School gymnastics team will be led by Julie Kuhse who is returning to the position of head coach. This is the 39th year for Kuhse, who has been a volunteer, head coach, assistant coach, and back to head coach over the years.
