Weston’s boys basketball team went right down the wire in their season opener but lost a tight one, 61-59, against the Wonewoc-Center Wolves on the home floor last Tuesday.

The girls hockey season for the Badger Lightning area high school co-op begins this week with a pair of games at the Pierce Park Pavillion in Baraboo. Nate Breunig, Josh Cone and Collin Hagen coach the group that consists of at least two players each from Sauk-Prairie, Reedsburg, Baraboo and Wis.
