Letter: Make America gasp again

Bonito Mussolini brought fascism to Italy in the 1930s, and later aligned it with Hitler’s Nazi Germany. Fascism entails a single dictator who makes all the important decisions and promotes a cult of personality. Law and order are maintained through an authoritarian state with total control over society.

Letter: Have we lost our Midwestern decency?

While shopping at a store in the La Valle region last week, I needed help picking out grass seed for my grandfather’s lawn. The store clerk asked me if I was planting new grass and I told him no. He suggested I buy fertilizer instead. I told him that we had just fertilized a few weeks ago and my grandfather asked for seed.

What a wonderful community we have here in Reedsburg. Recently we held the Brat Bash & Dash at a time of the year when we did not fully expect to have a record breaking crowd. The community response was wonderful.

Throughout the year, I represent one of the most beautiful districts in the state, but it is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. The leaves are changing and our landscape is becoming a tremendous portrait of colors and autumn activity. Roadside produce stands, blooming mums and pumpkin patches welcome us to enjoy the season.
