When spoken by your employer, the words “time off” mean a lot toward the idea of resting and clearing one’s mind. We find ourselves so busy that too often we work ourselves to the point of some serious negative health conditions.

Herd immunity is the concept that if most people (the herd) become immune to a disease, then the spread of the disease from person to person becomes unlikely, protecting the whole community. There are two ways to achieve herd immunity: through infection or vaccine.

Last week, I did something outside my comfort zone: I photographed sports.

Diversity is a name in the game of life. In years past, the pattern of life stayed very much the same. If you were born into the family of farmers, you were a farmer and it was the same of most professions in life. There was very little diversity in the home, the man was the bread winner and the head of the home.

I was recently in a situation where multiple relatives were watching more than one television, and the programming varied on each set.

One was watching Fox News, the other, CNN.

There’s been irritation aplenty between these folks. They love each other but, man, when politics come up, I just want to leave the room.

What we need now is a National Mother! Most of us are stressed almost beyond the bearing and it would feel heavenly to be taken care of for a while. This constant guarding against an invisible alien invader mimics a horror film. People look normal, but you can't tell whether they have it or not.
