During the COVID-19 pandemic, Reedsburg Public Library’s Youth Services Department brings the world to you in a series of short language videos for all ages presented each Monday on Facebook.

The City of Reedsburg is readying for Election Day next month, and so far it seems that residents are eager to cast their ballots.

The city clerk’s office is encouraging adults to act soon if they want to vote before Nov. 3. What’s more, city staff has made efforts to make voting more convenient.

A Reedsburg family, in conjunction with the local Bike Shop program, made an important trip to El Paso this summer to support less-fortunate children.

The Loganville Area Fire Department will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 11 at Loganville Village Hall, 130 West St.

Meals will cost $8 for adults, $4 for children under 10. Preschoolers eat for free.

Proceeds will go toward new department equipment.

The crosswalk between the Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Harvest Park is finished. Artist Laura Annis of Baraboo created the mural, which was funded by the Reedsburg Arts Committee. Twelve volunteers from the Reedsburg Public Works Department, Reedsburg Police Department and the Chamber helped finish the mural in six hours.

An Ironton mad was cited and had to go clean up his mess after the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office busted him for disposing of tires along a roadside.

Alton Copus, 27, of Ironton was cited for littering and agreed to collect the 40-plus tires that had been left along State Lane, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.

Farmers Brad and Kim Schyvinck have helped the Loganville Fire Department receive a $2,500 grant.

The money will go toward new military style flashlights for fire and rescue operations.

The trucks are now out to collect leaves on the tree bank.

Collection will take place through Nov. 11.

Leaves should be raked or placed on the tree bank; do not push them into the street or gutters. Leaves must be loose; bags will not be taken.

Branches and other yard waste should go in a separate pile on the tree bank.

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Loganville will hold a chili supper at 4 p.m. Oct. 14.

Due to COVID-19, meals will be served only via the drive-through. Food will be served while supplies last.

Tickets cost $10.
