Peyer, Bestory crowned Homecoming royalty

Zach Bestor was crowned this year’s homecoming king, and Dani Peyer was homecoming queen. Reedsburg celebrated homecoming with few festivities last week due to COVID-19. Due to distancing, the court and king and queen could not be convened for group or duo photos.

Reedsburg School Board votes to stay at hybrid model for middle, high schools

The Reedsburg School District Board voted Tuesday night to stay at the hybrid model for teaching at the middle and high schools while giving additional authority to the district administrator.

Steak Challenge sets record

It was the best year yet for the 13th Annual Great Steak Challenge.

Volunteers sold 2,853 dinners, the most ever for the fundraiser. That was also 92 more than last year.

RAHS Student Council organizes retreat

Reedsburg Area High School Student Council will hold its usual retreat this fall.

This year’s event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 28 at the high school.

New and continuing council members in grades nine through 12 are welcome to attend and help plan out activities for the upcoming school year.

Possible coronavirus exposure reported at school registration

A person who attended registration for the Reedsburg School District has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Sauk County Public Health.

The individual, who did not have symptoms at the time, participated in registration on Aug. 11.
