Vanguard Racing Team racing towards a finish line in May, in need of donations

The Vanguard Racing Team came to the February 26th Wisconsin Heights Board of Education meeting and gave a short presentation. They brought in the racing car they are actually working on. The students are learning so much during this process and are spending afterschool and weekend hours working. They plan to have it ready to race in May.

Sauk Prairie School District to pursue solar panels on roof

The Sauk Prairie School District board accepted a Solar Moon Shot Grant in the amount of $25,000, to help pay for installation of solar panels at their February 12th meeting.

Wisconsin Heights enters final stretch for referendum pitch

The die was cast for Wisconsin Heights taxpayers back in the fall of 1993 when the Wisconsin Legislature passed Act 16, which placed restrictions on the revenue a school district is entitled to receive each year from state sources and local property taxes.

Sauk Prairie and Wisconsin Heights FFA students travel to Capitol

The National FFA Organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, celebrated FFA Week from February 178-24th. FFA is a youth leadership organization for students in agricultural education.  Students in the FFA focus their programming efforts around growing leaders, building our local communities, and strengthening agriculture.

RAHS mock trial team goes to State

For the first time since 2012, Reedsburg Area High School’s mock trial team has made it to the State competition.

According to Advisor Brian Pittman, the varsity team will compete in Madison on March 1.

District puts newsletter online

The School District of Reedsburg has posted its spring edition of its newsletter, Fearless Pursuits.

The newsletter was created last fall as a way to keep in touch with families and residents in general. It is mailed to all District residents twice a year.
