Many athletes had strong showings and confidence-building moments for the Reedsburg Beavers track and Ffeld teams continued the indoor meet season Saturday at the Watertown Invitational.

The Reedsburg Area High School Activities Department seeks nominees for the Reedsburg Athletic Hall of Fame.

The Reedsburg Athletic Club sponsors the program, which honors outstanding athletes and coaches who’ve made substantial contributions to local athletics.

The full Ithaca/Weston co-op high school track and field teams return to action on Tuesday this week with the first outdoor meet of the season at North Crawford.

After opening the season with two close losses, the Reedsburg Beaver softball team bounced back last week and earned a pair of much-needed victories over Portage and River Valley.

The Weston girls played a varsity a softball game last Thursday for the first time since the 2023 season as the Silver Eagles opened the 2025 season with a 13-8 loss at De Soto as part of the Ridge and Valley Conference season.

Weston figured their deep pitching staff would be a strength all season during the 2025 high school baseball campaign and that was on full display last week as Weston won the season opener, 2-0, at De Soto to kick off conference play.

Former Reedsburg Beaver girls basketball standout Syd Cherney is joined by her parents, Sarah and Todd, after Cherney’s college team, Grand Valley State, won the NCAA D-2 Women’s Basketball National Championship last Friday night in Pittsburgh.

Optimism is running high for the Weston Silver Eagle baseball team as the 2025 season approaches.

Weston was 12-9 overall last season with a 9-5 conference record and although three senior starters have graduated, a strong nucleus returns for this season.

For the first time in three seasons, the Weston Silver Eagles will have a softball team of their own this spring.

Weston did not have enough girls to field a varsity squad the past two seasons, although a few girls did play with the Ithaca JV in a co-op last spring.

Sauk Prairie’s track and field teams competed at the UW-Whitewater Invite on March 21.

The Eagles’ boys finished 13th out of 31 teams, while the girls were 18th out of 28 teams.
